In-House Capacity Building
SPMU has already taken initiatives for capacity development of not only its core members but also of its PEAs. Several hands-on training workshops, exposure visits, short term training sessions have been either conducted or have been participated by the members of SPMU and its PEAs. The purpose of in-house capacity building is to address the different heterogeneous project components of ICZMP in an effective manner through sharing of knowledge. Knowledge sharing would lead to the broadening of the expertise of those who are working at the implementation level.
Capacity building smoothen the process of efficient utilization of available opportunities and consequently it fosters the spirit of decentralisation and empowerment at the grassroots.
Capacity building is sustained and becomes a core process for not only motivating an individual and but also steams in the process of organizational learning, expansion and improvement. In – house Capacity building may encompass the following:-
- Team leading and building
- Project management
- Contract Management
- Performance management
- Training of trainers and facilitators
- Planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Improving internal and external communication
- GIS related training
